Two ways to set the crop
- Drag on the preview — move the box or pull any of its eight handles. The overlay scales with the preview, so it works on phones and desktops.
- Type exact values — the X, Y, Width, and Height fields let you set the crop to precise pixel coordinates.
The crop is applied to the full-resolution image, not the smaller preview, so you keep the original sharpness.
Frequently asked questions
Can I crop to exact pixel dimensions?
Yes. Use the Width and Height fields to set the size exactly, and X/Y to position the box's top-left corner.
Does cropping lower the resolution?
No — it cuts from the original image at full quality. The result is simply the region you selected, with the same pixel density as the source.
What format is the cropped file?
It keeps JPG or WebP inputs in the same format; other types are saved as PNG.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Cropping happens entirely in your browser. Your files never leave your device.
