What to expect
- Great for everyday documents — letters, essays, resumes, and reports convert cleanly.
- Selectable, searchable text — the PDF keeps real text rather than a flat image, so you can copy from it and search inside it.
- Not a pixel-perfect copy of Word — headers and footers, page numbers, columns, and complex tables or heavily designed layouts may shift or drop out.
- .docx only, up to 15 MB — larger files can freeze the tab, and older .doc files need to be re-saved as .docx first.
Frequently asked questions
Why does it open a print window instead of just downloading?
The converter uses your browser's built-in print-to-PDF, which produces a clean file with real text. When the print window opens, choose “Save as PDF” as the destination to save it.
Can I convert an older .doc file?
Not directly — the tool reads the modern .docx format only. Open the .doc in Word or Google Docs and save it as .docx, then convert that.
Will the PDF look exactly like my Word document?
For straightforward text documents, very close. But it isn't a pixel-perfect clone — intricate formatting like multi-column layouts, headers/footers, and complex tables can look different.
Is my document uploaded?
No. The file is read and converted entirely in your browser. It never leaves your device.
